Where to place a desk in a small room
A window can make work more pleasant, but it should not prevent opening it or create uncomfortable glare.
Try the side wall
Placing a desk beside the window often balances light and glare. Check that the chair does not block entry.
Reduce the depth
A 45 to 60 cm desk can be enough for lighter work. Do not choose a deep surface simply by habit.
Avoid blocking ventilation
Do not assume a window can be covered. Test its opening and check building rules where safety is affected.
